As nature awakens from its winter slumber, the seeds, ripe in the belly of Mother Earth during Imbolc, have germinated, sending forth delicate green shoots through the fertile soil.

BELTANE

May Day marks the cross-quarter point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice, symbolizing the commencement of summer in Celtic tradition. This festive occasion is characterized by the long-awaited planting of crops and seedlings, eagerly anticipating the warmer weather ahead.
Rooted in its etymology, Beltane, translating to 'the fire of Bel,' 'bright-fire,' or 'lucky-fire,' underscores its significance as the fire festival. Farmers traditionally ignited bonfires, guiding their herds around them to insure protection and fertility for their livestock.
LITHA

The Summer Solstice, celebrates the longest day and shortest night. Indicated by flourishing flowers and the promise of bountiful fruit. A day meant to immerse yourself in nature, appreciating the bright blue skies, golden sun and verdant earth. It’s a time to rejoice in the full rays of sunshine and all the lush greenery that abounds, yet we’re also reminded of the eternal cycle of birth and death as these vibrant flowers fade, giving way to the ripening fruit.
LUGHNASA

The First Harvest, Lughnasa is the cross-quarter date between summer solstice and autumn equinox, marked by the harvesting of the first crops of grains -- barley, wheat as well as fruits such grapes and stone fruit. Many hands make light work, making this a perfect time to gather, whether to harvest and garden together or to rejoice in all the bounty that abounds during this season.
MABON

The Autumn Equinox marks the balance between hours in the day and those of the night, yet unlike the Spring Equinox, it ushers in longer nights and shorter days. As we bid farewell to the seasons of growth, we rejoice in the culmination of our efforts with the final harvest and the well-deserved respite that follows all the hard work.
Much like Ostara, this season invites us to honour and cultivate harmonious balance, appreciating the interplay of masculine and feminine energies, the yin and yang, the radiant light of the sun and the mystic darkness of the moon.
