REGENERATIVE HARVESTING
Embracing sustainability as a cornerstone, our ethos go beyond the conventional.
Regenerative harvesting embodies a reciprocal relationship with nature, fostering an environment where plants can regrow on their own. By following specific foraging principals, we enable natural regeneration, and transcend traditional sustainability. Prioritizing these methods cultivates biodiversity and nurtures organic abundance within our ecosystem
Our aim isn't only to sustain Mother Earth; we aspire to support her in thriving alongside all her interconnected life forms.
PRINCIPLES
We Are Guided by these
~ Harvesting only what is growing in abundance or excess, never depleting the earth's resources, and taking only what we need.
~ Remaining attentive to the earth's signals and allowing those to shape our product creation and production.
~ Prioritizing organic, locally-sourced ingredients to minimize our environmental footprint and bolster community support.
~ Our most important practice within these principles is cultivating plant regeneration.
PROMISE
Our
By implementing selective harvesting techniques to safeguard plant populations, we uphold the principle of reciprocity by seeking permission and making offerings before foraging.
When harvesting individual plants or flowers, we respectfully request permission, acknowledging that sometimes the answer is no. In such cases, the plants are left undisturbed to propagate naturally or nourish wildlife (like our bees!)
Gratitude is expressed for the gifts received, and we conscientiously mark harvested areas to ensure we don’t take from the same spots every year.
